Carmen & Harlan are members of the Coast Swingers Square Dance Club in Garibaldi, Oregon. Carmen square danced at age 16 with the Corvallis Squares and then with the OSU Promenaders in college. Roger Putzler was the OSU Promenaders caller. Then for 32 years, she didn't dance. In 2004, she brushed up her memory of squares and took round dance lessons. Harlan did his first square dancing in 2005 in the Albany Timber Twirlers beginner's lessons. He hasn't tackled rounds yet. Carmen & Harlan were married in May, 2006
