JOHN & NANCY MORRIS

John & Nancy started square dancing in 1963 with the Whirlaways at the Hayloft at 7th & Alder in Portland, Oregon. The caller was Dave King. They learned round dancing from Dick Click at the Ring & Swing Club in St. Helens in 1964. They started dancing with the Checkerboard Squares in 1966. Don Seemssen was the caller. They took intermediate round dance lessons with Dan & Doris Sobala in 1986 and moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1998, where they round danced with Bob & Mary Ann Rother, Wayne & Barbara Blackford and George & Pam Hurd.
